Shropshire Gunbus is run by father and son team Ian and Gregor McKenzie.

Ian "retired" in 2004 after a career in commercial management in the aluminium industry.

After a short break - all of two weeks - he teamed up with son Gregor to import and market the unique & pre-eminent Pinzgauer offroad vehicle.

One of Ian's fortes is modern marketing, especially reaching through websites the wide variety of people interested in a great offroad vehicle like the Pinzgauer. Its unique abilities are useful to people with a wide variety of interests and getting the message to them is the challenge!

Gregor has lived in Bavaria and Austria for 15+ years and speaks fluent German. He has developed unique links with armies and marketing agencies for tough military specification utility vehicles, often with years of useful life ahead of them. He is very well known in the European industry and this is at the heart of our success.

Pinzgauers are highly treasured on the continent and Gregor's language skills and technical knowledge often allow him to buy rare vehicles from private collectors and enthusiasts.

Gregor also offers a sourcing service. If you want an unusual truck that you cannot find in the UK - particularly in the Steyr, MAN and Unimog ranges - Gregor can most certainly find it for you and negotiate a successful purchase.

Together, the team offer a valuable expertise in these unique vehicles. In a two-man team each is an allrounder but within this Ian specialises in finance, marketing and logistics while Gregor covers sourcing, purchasing and detailed specification matters, besides running our little assembly line.

We usually stock all the main Pinzgauer options - 4X4, 6X6, hardtop, soft-top, petrol diesel. Various conversions are available of which LPG/dual fuel is particularly economic. Our usual stock is 9-15 vehicles, constantly updated.

Main markets are:- shoot vehicles, gunbuses, offroad/fun, campers, round-the-farm, tree surgeons, safari/expedition vehicles. We have many happy customers in all of these fields of activity.
